Canada Federal Skilled Worker
Federal Skilled Worker applications are assessed based on an applicant's ability to become economically established upon immigration to Canada.
In order to qualify for a Canada Immigration (Permanent Resident) Visa, Canadian Federal Skilled Worker (Professional) applicants must:
Have at least one year of continuous full-time or equivalent paid work experience in the past 10 years in one of the 29 qualifying occupations;
The qualifying occupations are listed by NOC (National Occupational Classification) and are based on the main duties performed. This list of open occupations was updated to reflect ministerial instructions issued on July 1, 2011, a maximum of 10,000 Federal Skilled Worker applications will be considered for processing in the following 12 months. Within the 10,000 cap, a maximum of 500 federal skilled worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing each year.

Qualify for Arranged Employment with a full-time permanent job offer from a Canadian employer.
In addition, Canada Federal Skilled Worker (Professional) applicants must attain at least 67 points based on Citizenship and Immigration Canada's (CIC) immigration selection factors.
The selection factors are summarized as follows:
Education: Applicants are awarded up to 25 points.
Language Skills: Applicants are awarded up to 24 points.
Work Experience: Applicants are awarded up to 21 points for paid work experience acquired in the last 10 years. A minimum of 15 points is required.
Age: Applicants are awarded up to 10 points.
Arranged Employment: Applicants are awarded up to 10 points.
Adaptability: Applicants are awarded up to 10 points.
In addition to meeting the above criteria, applicants must show that they have sufficient settlement funds to support themselves and their dependants after arrival in Canada. Applicants and their dependants must also undergo medical examinations and security clearances as part of the Canadian immigration application process.
Quebec Immigration
The Quebec Immigration selection system for Quebec Skilled Workers is designed to indicate which applicants are likely to become economically established upon immigration to Quebec.
Quebec Skilled Worker / Professional applicants intending to reside in Montreal or another city in the Province of Quebec are selected based upon a different set of criteria than applicants who wish to settle elsewhere in Canada.
An applicant can qualify under any occupation under the Quebec Skilled Worker category. Currently, all occupations are open and a job offer from a Canadian employer is not required to be eligible.
Applicants who are successful under the Quebec Immigration selection system are issued a , followed by a Canadian Permanent Resident (Immigration) Visa.
To qualifyQuebec Selection Certificate for a Quebec Selection Certificate, Skilled Worker / Professional applicants must score enough points under the Quebec Immigration selection system below. A single applicant must score at least 49 points based on the criteria below. An applicant with a spouse or common-law/conjugal partner must score at least 57 points.

Up to an additional 6 points may be awarded upon the interview for Adaptability. With these points awarded, a single applicant must score a minimum of 55 points. An applicant with a spouse or common-law/conjugal partner must score at least 63 points.
Quebec Skilled Worker / Professional applicants must then successfully complete medical and security examinations conducted by the Canadian government in order to be granted a Canada Immigration (Permanent Resident) Visa.
Quebec Skilled Workers / Professionals are not assessed based upon the selection factors of the Federal Skilled Worker Program.
Business class
There are three categories that are included in the Canadian immigration program for businesspersons. In all three, a point system is used, and the pass mark is 35. Thirty-five points are given automatically for anyone who has been in business for the last five years. Thus it is easy to get enough points. What is difficult is fitting inside the definitions.
Investor Class
The applicant must have a net worth of $1,600,000 (husband and wife's assets combined), must have owned a qualifying business in two of the last five years or must have managed at least five (5) workers in a business and must be willing to invest $800,000 with the Canadian Federal Government for five (5) years as an interest-free loan. This loan can be financed through a range of Canadian financial institutions.
Entrepreneur Class
The applicant must have a net worth of $300,000(husband and wife's assets combined), must have owned a qualifying business in two of the last five years and must be willing to invest in a qualifying business in Canada within three years of immigrating.
Self Employed Class
This category is for farmers, artists and athletes and those who work in occupations that support sports and the arts. No minimum net worth is required.
4- BC Provincial Nominee Program
BC Provincial Nominee Program - Business Immigration - Regional Business Category
Applicants for nomination in the Regional Business category will be required to:
Make a personal investment of at least $200,000 CAD to establish or to purchase and expand an eligible business anywhere in BC outside of the Vancouver metropolitan area or the Abbotsford metropolitan area.
Create at least one new job in the business for a Canadian or permanent resident.
Own at least one third (33 1/3%) of the equity of the business.
Provide active and on-going participation in the day-to-day management and direction of the business.
Demonstrate that they have:
The skills and experience necessary to establish and operate a commercially viable business in BC
A personal net worth of at least $400,000 CAD obtained from legal sources
Sufficient unencumbered personal funds to make the required investment.
A viable business proposal.
Sign a Performance Agreement with the Province of British Columbia.
Sign a Deposit Agreement with the Province of British Columbia if they are seeking a Fast Track nomination.
Fast Track Option
The Fast Track option offers immediate nomination for permanent residence, in return for which you will make a conditionally refundable $125,000 CAD deposit with the Province of British Columbia. The deposit will be refunded (without interest) when you have met the terms of conditions of your Performance Agreement and Deposit Agreement.
Immigration to Canada through Sponsorship
To be eligible for Family Class Sponsorship, individuals who wish to immigrate to Canada must have a close relative willing to sponsor them and that relative must either be a Canadian citizen or a Canadian Permanent Resident.
Do you qualify for Canada Family Class Immigration?
To qualify under Canada Family Class Sponsorship:
1. The relationship between the Sponsor and the Sponsored Person (the Family Class immigrant) must be one of the following:
Spouse, common-law partner, or conjugal partner; or
Parent or grandparent; or
Dependent child; or
Brother, sister, nephew, niece, or grandchild who is orphaned, under 18 years of age and not married or in a common-law relationship; or
Intended adopted child under 18 years of age; or
Other relative, if the Sponsor has no relative listed above and no relatives who are Canadian citizens or Canadian Permanent Residents (limited to one relative only).
2. The Sponsored Person must have a Sponsor who:
Is a Canadian citizen or a Canadian Permanent Resident; and
Meets the family class sponsorship requirements.
The Sponsor and Sponsored Person(s) must follow the appropriate Canada Family Class Immigration application process.
